We recently took possession of 11 brand new Concept 2 bike ergs which means we are now offering spin classes 3 mornings at Paradise Gym – Geelong! So what are the advantages of our bike classes? We will let Johnnexplain his 3 top reasons he thinks you should join!
1. Great for the body
Spinning is a low-impact exercise that is easy on the joints. Like running, spinning is a great cardiovascular workout. However, you are less likely to suffer from hip, knee, and ankle injuries commonly associated with other cardio exercises because it is low-impact.
2. Community
Group exercise classes like our Tour De Paradise can help give you a sense of community. After all, you’re all in it together. Training in group means you are more accountable and likely to return to our next class. As an added bonus we have all our bikes electronically hooked up to a TV via our MyZone system which adds a bit of competitiveness if you are that eat inclined.
3. Not just a leg workout
As you keep your body in an upright position while balancing on the bike, your core will work to prevent you from tipping over. “Your core is the meat and potatoes of an effective indoor cycling class. It supports every movement we do on the bike, protecting you from straining your lower back
